The objective of the study is to find out the experience of teenagers regarding their contact with different types of violence and attitude to violent behaviour as a educational method in their future family life, based on answers to questionnaires. Based on the stated hypothesis children experience violent behaviour at home since early childhood, added on to by more frequent experience of mental and physical violence at school. Empiric study is compounded from quantitative part, where the data of 1998 questionnaire data of 1810 teenagers is compared to the questionnaire results of 2800 students in 1993. When processing the data statistical processing methods have been used, including the spread options and their correlation. The results of the study have shown that prior to age 7, 71.9% of children have experienced physical violence at home. 72,8% have experienced physical and 67.3% have experienced mental violence after the age of seven. Physical violence have been experienced by 92.5% and mental violence by 90.7% of the pupils. The frequency of demanding money and things from other pupils have increased, represented by spread ration increase to 8.27. In spite of the violence increased, 17.5% of the pupils believe that physical punishment of children at home is unavoidable, and 28% responded that mental violence should be applied by parents if necessary. Based on the research results it is important to council parents with problems related to bringing children up, if we would like to create a violence free life for children. During the civic and social education classes at schools more attention should be paid to practical communication skills. For children who have already experienced violence, it is important to carry out network and rehabilitation services to avoid the victims? distancing from the community. It is important to create a child abuse register in addition to National Children?s Trauma Register.
