Conference on Internet Safety
On June 3rd 2005 in Radisson Hotel in Warsaw a conference "Safer Internet" was held under honorary patronage of the president of the Capital City Warsaw. The conference was organised by the Nobody?s Children Foundation and NASK a consortium realising Safer Internet Action Plan (SIAP). SIAP is a EU programme dealing with illegal and harmful content on the Internet. "Safer Internet" conference in Warsaw inaugurated a cycle of similar events to be held in all 16 provincial cities in Poland.

The conference gathered more than 350 participants, mainly teachers, educators, psychologists, representatives of police, ministerial bodies, NGOs and ISPs from the Warsaw province . International guests were also present, among them: Cormac Callanan from INHOPE – Association of Internet Hotline Providers and Janice Richardson from European Schoolnet. Also three representatives of European Awareness Nodes participating in Safer Internet Action Plan presented their activities: Peter Behrens from German Klicksafe.de, Elisabeth Staksrud from Norwegian Media Authority and Simon Grehan from Ireland representing National Centre for Technology in Education.

In the days preceding the conference a Training Seminar was held for all Awareness Nodes.

The conference programme included two thematic sessions on Internet safety, focusing on European perspective and national perspective. Additionally in the afternoon two parallel workshop seminars were organised: for teachers and educators, and for the police. The first one focused on educational campaign on Internet safety, the second one covered issued related to combating illegal Internet content.

The whole event was widely covered by different media that attended the press conference. 

On the following day an accompanying event for children was held – an outdoor family picnic promoting safe use of the Internet among the youngest.
