"Tujifunze" in Swahili means learning. This programme involves working with a Tanzanian non-profit organization located in Bukoba, Tanzania. The organization is committed to uplifting and empowering communities, especially disadvantaged groups, such as orphans, women and the elderly. The organization tries to use the information, communication and technology field in order to do this.
OBJECTIVES OUR ORGANIZATION
TUJIFUNZE:- Center Information Technology (TCIT) is registered as an NGO (Non-Government Organization) and operates in Bukoba then Mwanza, Mara, and Shinyanga Tanzania .The Organization was registered in 23/03/2004 in the United Republic of Tanzania. The Organization provides services to all societies within lakezone Tanzania
1. To advocate for appropriate utilization of Information, Communication and Technology among the marginalized groups including the disables, elderly, Children, Families, orphans and widows.
2. To support the most Vulnerable widows and Children living in difficult circumstances
3. To sensitise community participation in the conservation of natural resources through information, communication and technology (Enviroment)
4. To promote gender equality and equity in accessing Information, Communication and technology.
5. To engage in mass mobilization on HIV/AIDS/STI/MALARIA, Control through Information, Communication and technology.
6. To engage in the work of Community Development through Information, Communication and Technology.
7. To act as a forum for Information and Technology Development of Communities in the lakezone areas Tanzania
8. To network with similar international Organizations the advancement of Information, Communication and technology.
9. To facilitate the establishment of community-based information centres for sustainable development.

Organization Vision
The Vision of the Organization shall be build the communities with ability of equitable utilization of Tujifunze and those from external sources towards improvement of well being of rural and urban poor households in Tanzania
ORGANIZATION MISSION
The Organization mission shall be to enhance co-operation and participation among the deprived Urban/Rural Communities through Collaboration of both local and External stake holders who share common development interest to bring about peoples,dignity, understanding and confidence.
STATUS OF THE ORGANIZATION
The organization is a non-Governmental Organization NGO, which is not affiliated to any political party. The main activity of the organization is to facilitate access to information Technology for sustainable development, initiatives towards poverty alleviation among the marginalized communities and groups: -such women, youths, disables, street children, elders and Enviroment
