The EUCW is a politically, ideologically and religiously independent, democratic, voluntary organization fulfilling its objectives with the support of donators and foundations on republican as well as international level. The EUCW was re-founded in October 1988 and today it co-ordinates the work of 36 regional societies for child welfare. The president of the organization is Ms Katrin Saks.
