“Pathfinders”

“Pathfinders” is meant for 20 5th through 9th grade students who are at danger to get into risk group- shunning from school, bad relations with parents and peers, low academic achievement, smoking, alcohol etc. The goal of the project is to prevent and/or change pupils’ negative behavior and improve their self- esteem.

“A start into life- mentoring program for foster home children”

Searching for good- hearted people to mentor foster home children. The mentor is a self- sufficient and good- hearted adult who has time and desire to present his or her hobbies, interests, discuss world problems and widen the child’s worldview.

“Support group for hyperactive kids parents”

Empowering the parents of hyperactive children, getting them out of depression and low moods, so they could be more effective and capable to deal with their children. Estonian psychiatrists hold up the work of the support group as the sole possible place of emotional support and strength replenishment.

“Scholarship for orphans”

Scholarships for orphans and foster home children who will continue their studies after high school graduation. The aim of the project is to support the studies of youngsters who are in bad economical situation.

Estonian Children’s Fund has organized many different media campaigns in order to draw publics’ attention to topics that are often forgotten. In 1999 Estonian Children’s Fund organized all- Estonia media campaign “I Have Time. Time for My Child,” the same year we held aftermath campaign “Child Won’t Grow Up Alone.” In 2003 we held another campaign “Child Needs Father- Find Time and Love.”
