A Swedish parliamentary committee on child abuse has presented its final report. The report contains suggestions to the government on how to improve the prevention of child abuse and the support and help to abused children. Among the suggestions are parental support centres, guidelines to teachers on how to report suspicions to the social services, specialist education for social workers, and laws on the obligation of different agencies to collaborate. The committee's definition of child abuse includes sexual abuse.
