The purpose of the manual is to provide inspiration for those interested in starting projects or actions in relation to human trafficking and those who wants to situate their own practices in a wider context and reflect on how to improve them. It therefore addresses both 'newcomers' to the the problem of trafficking and 'entrenched practitioners'. In this sense, the manual tries to set up a framework for dialogue on what constitutes good practice and how practises can be improved still further. The main focus is on institutional arrangements and strategies for tackling the problem of trafficking. Although these institutional arrangements are most often made possible by specific legal frameworks, it will not discuss the details of the legal provisions that make these institutional arrangements possible.
